Adentan Municipal Assembly has embarked on its first-quarter Municipal Planning Coordinating Unit (MPCU) Composite Monitoring Exercise to assess the progress of ongoing projects in the municipality. The monitoring, which took place on April 8 and 9, 2025, aimed to evaluate the level of completion of key infrastructure projects.

During the exercise, the MPCU monitoring team visited several project sites, including the construction of a two-storey Reproductive Health Center at Ashaley Botwe, paving and landscaping works at the Adentan Community School Complex, and the development of a two-storey, 14-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities. Other projects inspected were the construction of a six-unit classroom block, a three-storey, six-unit staff bungalow at Lakeside, and a two-unit kindergarten classroom block with ancillary facilities at Amrahia Basic School.

The Municipal Development Planning Officer, Mrs. Ivy Oduro-Kwarteng, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects, noting that most were in appreciable completion phases. She assured stakeholders that the remaining works would soon be finalized, commending contractors for their efforts and urging them to accelerate work to meet agreed timelines.

Mr. Charles Akrofi- Ansah, an officer from the Works Department, emphasized the importance of these projects, stating that their completion would address the classroom deficit in the municipality and create a conducive learning environment for pupils and students to thrive academically.

The exercise highlights the Assembly’s commitment to infrastructure development and ensuring quality educational and healthcare facilities for residents of Adentan.
