The Adentan Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE), in the Greater Accra Region, Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah has advised Basic Education Certificates Examination, (BECE), candidates against vandalizing School property after ending their examinations of Friday.

Ending the examination today, he explained is just an espect of their future aspirations, they will be called again to   select their programmes and schools of choice, hence destroying the infrastructure that brought them this far could truncate all what they have toiled for.

Mr. Nii Noi Adumuah gave this advice when he toured two examination centres in the municipality yesterday.

He was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education Ms. Gifty Mussey and other officials of the assembly and the Education Directorate.

In all 4,498 candidates from 13 Private and Public Schools include are writing the examination.

The MCE since Monday has toured the examination centres to acquaint with the level of preparedness and any other issue that they may arise during the course of the exams.

Nii Noi Adumuah stated that eventhough they would pride themselves as having written the BECE and now free, it does not give them that license go to back and misbehave towards the teachers and juniors.

“You have more years ahead of your educational, calender always remember that the BECE is just the stepping stone, the beginning of your future endeavors so please do not do anything on towards to destroy the bright future God through your teachers have set for you” he added.

He charged them to finish hard and give themselves the glory, because no glory is won without a struggle and since they have gone through the four days without any hitch the final papers should also be handled as the other.

“Your parents and the government have invested a lot of resources in you for the past nine years, so this is not the time to mar the solid foundation that has been laid to aimed at training you become responsible adults who could help build their communities” he added.

The MCE commended the teachers and the invigilators for living to their responsibilities and urged them to maintain that standard to the end.

Ms. Mussey charged the candidates to maintain the standards set at the beginning of the examination so that collectively the glory and honour will be bestowed on the municipality.

She urged them not to indulge in any acts of malpractice because they have almost completed and by Friday it shall be done so that they would not put the entire center and other innocent colleagues into trouble.

Ms. Mussey advised the candidates to use the period while waiting for their results to attend private pre SHS classes instead of social gatherings that would put them into trouble.

The Director said qualification into the SHS is an opportunity in a life time where they will complete with equally good student as such must start the learning process now.
