Story tellers from the Adenta Community School in the Adentan Municipality led by Ms. Millicent Ofori the Headmistress and Mrs. Evelyn Ameamu paid a visit to Adentan Municipal Assembly to show their trophy to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) on 26th of July, 2022.

The trophy was a prize for taking the first place in the just ended Regional Adesa Village Story Telling Competition which took place at the Arts Centre in Accra, on the 17th June, 2022.

Adentan Community School excelled in the competition held at the municipal level by beating eight (8) schools organized by the Centre for National Culture (CNC) – Adentan at Sowa Din school.

The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Daniel Alexanda Nii-Noi Adumuah acknowledge the teachers and pupils for their immense effort in winning the trophy for Adentan. However, he charged the Municipal Culture Officers to keep records of stories told by the young story tellers and encourage such activities that promote indigenous culture and tradition.

The pupils were given the opportunity to demonstrate their story telling performances which comprises of singing and dancing.

Ms. Millicent Ofori expressed her gratitude to the MCE for supporting them in making the victory a reality.
