The Adentan Municipal Assembly on the 16th of November, 2021 held an all-state owned enterprises and non-decentralized departments meeting.

The meeting commenced at exactly 10:00am at the Assembly’s Conference Hall and was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah. The meeting was held to discuss the planned activities for the year 2022 in relation to the coordinated approach towards the development and management of the Municipality.

Hon. Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah spoke on some key areas which will be of benefits to citizens of the Adentan Municipality. He stated that the Adentan Municipal Assembly together with the European union (EU) has invested about €1.2million in fish farming.

He further added that, Adentan Municipal Assembly has 20 dams in which 30 cages have been placed into the water bodies to nurture fish. In addition, the Assembly is currently training 1000 people to nurture fishes in their homes and also, to enable the people in Municipality gain economic advantage.

He however encouraged all-state owned enterprises and non-decentralized departments to help in making the partnership work. Also, the Municipality needs to be acquainted with the plans of other departments to enable the Assembly to incorporate it into their plans as local government, to ensure that the Assembly accumulates the resources needed.

Moreover, he stated that, operation clean your frontage is coming in full force within the next month. And as such, the Assembly needs to enlighten the citizens on what it means. This will be implemented by the assembly in January, 2022.

The event was graced by Jemima Tsina Apedo, Deputy Director of Center for Scientific Institute and Research(CSIR) Prof. P. Wallace, Mr. Divine Exorgbe the municipal Social Welfare Director Mr. Charles Peprah and Mr. Fredrick Okoto of Ghana Revenue Authority.
