The Adentan District Society (ADENDIS) of the Institute Of Charted Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) has been inaugurated on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Adentan.
The purpose of the Institute Of Charted Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) is to create a forum for its members to promote their common interest as well as help develop and promote good accountancy practice in Ghana.
Addressing the participants at the inauguration ceremony, Mrs. Mawushie Dzikunu disclosed that the society had over 112 Charted Accountants with about 62 paid up members.
MCE of Adentan Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alexander Daniel Nii-Noi Adumuah who chaired the inauguration ceremony assured the executive of ADENDIS-ICAG of his Assembly’s resolve to provide all the necessary support and atmosphere they would require to work.
“This will serve as an opportunity for accountants in the Municipality to join the Society and will enable its growth and effectiveness,” he added.
Professor William A. Atulik, President of ICAG and Guest Speaker at the ceremony in his keynote address stated that ADENDIS –ICAG secretariat sought to train all accountants while managing the welfare issues of its members, adding: “The council is available through the secretariat to allow this society to become what it wants it to be.”
He admonished the executives of ADENDIS-ICAG to be devoted to the course of the society and serve selflessly. “Get involved in both social and entertainment activities of the society. Don’t just be members but also paid up members,” Professor Atulik advised ADENDIS-ICAG members.
Professor Atulik, ICAG took the opportunity to officially inaugurate the group and its interim executives of ADENDIS-ICAG.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Adentan, Hon. Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah in his closing remarks, expressed his gratitude to ADENDIS-ICAG for deeming it fit to open a branch in the Adentan Municipality.
