A trainer of trainee’s workshop on E-Reporting had been organized by the Social Welfare and Community Development Department of the Adentan Municipal Assembly to train its field officers on the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) Monitoring and Reporting System designed to give accurate reporting on payment monitoring.
Mr. Divine A.K. Exorgbe, the Municipal Head of Social Welfare and Community Development said the objective of the training is to give field officers a total knowledge and understanding of the E-Reporting platform.
The E-Reporting System on LEAP, is the use of already installed application (LEAP) on a Tablet which is available on the Google Appstore, provided by the LEAP Monitoring Secretariate under the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection.
‘’The E-Reporting System is easier and far better than the manual reporting’’ and payments are done without delays ‘’said Mr. Phillip Dotse, a community Development Officer from the Ada East District and facilitator.
He added that, the E-reporting completely eliminates bureaucracy and facilitates transmission of the report from the districts level, thus once submission is done, information cannot be edited again.
The LEAP Program stated in 2007 and has gone through stages with ISOKO doing the last targeting and the National Population and Housing Census from the Ministry of Gender. This will also help to monitor activities of DSWO in line current LEAP Monitoring and Evaluation framework
Madam Euphemia Asafo, the Unit Head of the Social Welfare Department advised the participants to take lessons learnt seriously.
