In a significant stride towards improving educational infrastructure, the Adentan Municipal Assembly was granted the privilege of receiving 350 dual desks from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) The ceremonial handover took place at the forecourt of the Adentan Municipal Assembly, witnessing the presence of key dignitaries, including the Municipal Chief Executive, the Presiding Member, and the Municipal Coordinating Director. Symbolically, the batch of dual desks was officially handed over to the Municipal Education Director, Madam Gifty Mussey, marking a momentous occasion for the education sector in the municipality.

The provision of adequate and comfortable seating arrangements has long been a concern in educational institutions across the country. The donation of these 350 dual desks by the GETFund aims to alleviate this predicament, specifically within the Adentan Municipality, and enhance the learning experience for students.

During the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah expressed his gratitude to the GETFund for their continuous support in improving education infrastructure. He emphasized the significance of providing conducive learning environments for the holistic development of the students and the overall advancement of the municipality.

The Presiding Member, Hon. Joseph Odai Boye commended the collaborative efforts between the Adentan Municipal Assembly and the GETFund, stressing the importance of such partnerships in improving access to quality education. He reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to prioritizing education and enhancing the learning experience for students.

The Municipal Coordinating Director Mrs. Rachel Ofosua Sarpong hailed the initiative and acknowledged the tireless efforts of the Municipal Education Directorate in ensuring that every child within the municipality has access to quality education. He also affirmed the commitment of the Adentan Municipal Assembly to support the education sector by providing the necessary resources and infrastructure.

Madam Gifty Mussey, the Municipal Education Director, expressed her gratitude on behalf of the education community and pledged to utilize the dual desks effectively. She emphasized the positive impact that comfortable seating arrangements will have on the concentration and overall performance of the students. Moreover, she highlighted the importance of fostering a collaborative relationship between the education sector and government institutions to achieve shared objectives.
