Executives of Adentan National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) met with National Service Personnel (NSPs) in Adentan Municipality at the Municipal Secretariat office on Tuesday 16th August 2022 for a free health screening and blood donation exercise.
At the gathering, the National Public Relations Officer for NASPA Hakeem Mohammed took the NSPs through new measures that has been initiated to meet complaints of service personnel in the future. According to him, monthly allowances of service personnel will be increased to GHS 799 in the coming year and beyond. Also, plans are being made to assist personnel who complete their service and are open job opportunities to secure jobs. By so doing, he said a platform will be created for such candidates.
Moreover, in the coming years, National Service personnel will be posted to their areas of study although most of them may likely be posted to farming communities.
Complaints raised by personnel include late payment of allowances and allowances that are yet to be paid. Hakeem responded by saying it is mostly due to technical and system challenges. He assured personnel that all allowances for the period would be paid in full by the end of September.
The Municipal NSS Director Madam Alberta Adu Boahen complained about the response of service personnel when they are been called by the secretariat. She established the fact that, personnel should always attend to their call with immediate effect. She finally advised personnel to pay close attention to their mood of dressing especially in the working environment since it always speaks first.
