Adentan, Ghana – May 11, 2025.

The Adentan Municipal Assembly convened its third management meeting of the year on May 11, 2025, at the Assembly’s Conference Hall, setting a robust agenda toward improving staff capacity, stakeholder engagement, and urban infrastructure.

In an opening remarks, the Municipal Coordinating Director Ms. Rachel Fosua Sarpong took the floor and emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration and productivity. The meeting proceeded with the review and unanimous approval of the previous minutes, followed by detailed departmental reports. The Department of Works reported that several maintenance projects were nearing completion, while the Education Department highlighted the success of recent community outreach initiatives and previewed an upcoming workshop designed to prepare teachers and students for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The Human Resource Department also provided an update on the ongoing training program hosted through the Government of Ghana’s Smart Workplace website.

The confirmed Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Ella Christine Esinam Nongo outlined her strategic vision for the municipality. Hon. Nongo reaffirmed her commitment to ongoing capacity-building measures aimed at empowering staff to perform at their best. “Our progress depends on well-trained, motivated personnel who are prepared to meet the challenges ahead,” she stated. She also underscored the importance of fostering strong ties with external stakeholders, urging regular meetings with landlords and property owners to nurture transparency and cooperation.

Highlighting infrastructure improvements, Hon. Nongo declared that efforts were underway to guarantee a cleaner, more accessible municipal environment. “With the support of cutting-edge DRIP equipment and under the expert supervision of our urban road engineer, we are determined to keep all our roads in optimum condition,” she said. She further entrusted the Environmental Health Officer with the responsibility of ensuring that the municipality’s public spaces remain clean and inviting.

The meeting concluded with discussions on initiatives to improve internal communication channels and boost the Assembly’s online presence through social media. As the session adjourned at noon, both leadership and staff left the Conference Hall energized and committed to implementing the strategies that will propel Adentan Municipality toward a more efficient and vibrant future.
