Head of GHLGS, Eng. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur having a chat with Staff of AdMA

The Head OF Local Government Service (LGS), Eng. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur has paid a working visit to the Adentan Municipal Assembly (AdMA), on March, 2 2022.

Interacting with the MCE and staff of the assembly, Eng. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur who was accompanied on his visit by James Oppong Mensah, Chief Director of Local Government Service, commended AdMA for its great performance and also for legalizing its building permits.

Addressing the issue of work attendance, in relation to “resuming and closing time,” the Head of LGS suggested that a biometric clocking device should be installed to take record of reporting and departure time of staff.

Dr. Nana Ato Arthur however bemoaned the unprofessional attitudes of some stuff within the working environment citing for example, the act of using social media during working hours as well as sharing work related issues with friends. This he said was against the code of ethics of the local government service.

While stressing on the need for capacity building training to be organized for all staff to enhance delivering of expert quality service, the Head of LGS also emphasized that all departments within the Assembly were equally important and required equal treatment.

Eng. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur revealed that personnel will be recruited for the office of Parks and Gardens.

Hon. Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah, the Municipal Chief Executive of AdMA for his part, commended the entire staff of AdMA for their hard-work and dedication that had won the assembly an eviable position in the Greater Accra region. He appealed to the head of local government service to respond to his outfit’s call when they are called upon.
