Addressing participants Mrs Vivian Brew the Culture Officer of the Adentan Municipal Assembly encouraged them to take the workshop seriously so as to improve upon their skills. She further stated that this was just one of the skills developing training embarked by the Assembly through the department.
Participants were taken through the training by two Resource Personnel from the Arts Centre Accra, Mr Samuel Ayinbire and Mrs Catherine Akafari showed us some material they would need to use during the program. Participants were able to make their own fans from materials such as leather and cloths. Other materials needed included sticks, cutter, glue, iron, white glue, threads, knife and pin punch.

The launch was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs. Jemima Apedo, and head of department, Mr. Divine Exorgbe, staff members, Headmistress of Marvelous works and design, Mrs. Emelia Arthur and some honorable assembly members.
The chairperson, Hon. Vivian Bosompem welcomed the students and stated the purpose of gathering. She also acknowledged the fact that the project for the students and encouraged them to take the opportunity to work hard, be dedicated and endure through the course of their study.
The Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah in his address, officially launched the project and expressed his appreciation to Mrs. Emelia Arthur, Headmistress of Marvelous Works and Design for her constant support and dedication towards admitting students who have the passion to acquire a skill but underprivileged.
